Aktobe, the Kazakh news agency, reported on October 2 that Aktobe, the capital of Aktobinsk, will become the logistics center of Kazakhstan and will be responsible for transporting goods from China and Central Asia to other customs union countries and further to European countries, according to Ma Ming, the president of the Kazakh National Railway Corporation. To this end, corresponding plots have been allocated for infrastructure construction. In addition, it is planned to open container freight trains from the Chinese border to Aktobe once a week. This plan will be formally implemented next year.
