In 2022, the customs supervised 53 "China-Europe Train-Shanghai" trains, with more than 5000 standard containers, a total cargo weight of 40000 tons, and a total cargo value of 1.3 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), all of which reached a record high.

On January 8, the first "China-Europe Train-Shanghai" in 2023 completed the customs declaration at the Shanghai station and headed west to several stations in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries in Central Asia. The train carries 100 standard boxes of elevator parts, medical equipment, auto parts, daily chemicals and other goods, with a total weight of more than 880 tons and a total value of 18.7 million yuan.

In July 2022, the Customs of Shanghai Railway Station completed the supervision service of the first China-Europe Train-Shanghai Central Asia Line. The train realized the full coverage of the three main routes of the China-Europe Railway, the China-Russia Railway and the Central Asia Railway, and the three main routes of the China-Europe Railway within the territory (Alashankou, Khorgos Port), the eastern route (Manzhouli Port), and the middle route (Erenhot Port) were all opened, and the goods were transported to Germany, Poland, Russia, Belarus Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, connecting more than 40 overseas cities and stations, and sending goods to other countries in Europe and Asia through these stations.

In order to serve the high-quality development of the "China-Europe Train-Shanghai", the Shanghai Railway Station Customs opened a special window for the declaration of special trains to provide enterprises with classification, tax and other consulting services, to achieve paperless customs clearance of all goods of the China-Europe Trains, and to ensure the rapid inspection and release of the goods of the trains.
